Feb 05 2012 17:54:26 My dad uses virtual machines, but I don't have it. So he'll have to be in charge of that kind of thing.

Re: XP Virtual Machine with Descent 3
Jan 23 2012 14:32:43 We should probably mention again that the main reason for running D3 in a VM is that it can run in a window (as opposed to fullscreen).
Running D3 in a window instead of fullscreen makes it easier to capture videos. |

Re: XP Virtual Machine with Descent 3
Jan 03 2012 20:44:43 How about turn your Win 7 in a Linux compatible mode ?
(I have few VM images) Get a working Windows XP - is not the primary purposes of any Virtual Machine. |

My only question is why not use Windows XP Mode if you're running Windows 7 already? only windows 7 ultimate, pro and enterprise has windows XP mode, also in my opinion, virtualbox with VT-x enabled is faster than XP mode |

Re: XP Virtual Machine with Descent 3
Jan 02 2012 10:46:14 Because that way you can't run Descent 3 in a window.

Re: XP Virtual Machine with Descent 3
Nov 13 2011 19:10:51 VM with XP can be run on : Win 7, Win XP, any Linux, and so on.
Not only on Win 7, and the article doesn't offer run it only on Win 7. (I am running VM with XP on XP) Windows XP support is nearly out of interest. I am, different from the article author, not using Windows Updates. Instead I am installing the mostly recent version of OS itself. |

Nov 13 2011 14:54:46 The only question that remains is how long Windows XP will still be supported.

XP Virtual Machine with Descent 3
Nov 08 2011 15:47:23 Why don't you just get rid of Windows 7 and run Windows XP? Saves at least a gigabyte of RAM, possibly a few of HD space, and saves you from an irritating interface and general stupidity of W7...
