The standard co-op mode of Descent 3 has several issues. Alexi's version is more like the co-operative game mode that should have been implemented into the game from the beginning.

Installation instructions: Download the file co-op.d3m and replace the one in your Descent 3 installation ("<Descent 3 main folder>\netgames") with it. You can make a backup of your original file, if this makes you feel better. However, since the file is entirely compatible with original co-op.d3m files, there is not really any need for a backup.

Alternatively, you could consider downloading the full version of Descent 3 from Dateiliste, which contains many more improvements, additions, software, and missions, including the improved co-op.d3m modification file.

• After several months of testing, Alexi's latest version of the co-operative mod file co-op.d3m has been uploaded. Previous versions didn't suppress the guidebot completely and therefore still allowed for game crashes under certain circumstances. The new version also causes less server crashes in the Retribution mission set, because it removes some more player disconnecting objects than its predecessors.
