When started and after the configurations are loaded, D3Server's main window opens. If you stay with the mouse on one of the buttons for a moment, a small tooltip box opens to give you some hints on what it's for.
The window consists of two main lists: The one with the running servers and the one with the event log. The button Global options opens a settings window to set up and alter the server tool's global options like the Descent 3 game directory, standard ports for dedicated servers, anti cheating, etc. Start server opens the D3Server server configurations where you can add new servers to host, change their settings, and launch (start) them. One or more selected running Descent 3 game servers can be stopped with the button Stop server, while Stop all servers terminates all currently launched servers, no matter which ones are selected or deselected.
About displays some information about D3Server's copyright, developer, credits, and its homepage. Clicking on Online Help leads to this page here by opening a web browser. Exit closes the D3Server, but does not stop running servers. You can start D3Server later again to continue controlling your dedicated Descent 3 game servers. To stop (close) all running dedicated game servers click on the button Stop all servers first and wait a few seconds until they are all shut down before exiting the application.
