Game tracker options
Keeping your game tracker list up to date
All Pages

When Allow game tracker(s) is not ticked your server won't show on any game trackers. Players can only join the server if they know your public IP address and the server port (UDP), using the Direct IP Launcher, or typing it manually in the Descent 3 multiplayer window.

When Allow game tracker(s) is on (checked), your server will show up on the game trackers. Note that Allow game tracker(s) had been called Allow game tracker in previous versions of D3Server3.

ServerForGameTOptions

A click on the button Tracker options... pops up the D3Server3 Game Tracker Options dialog window:

ServerGameTOptions

To restore the list with the game trackers to D3Server3's default list click the Default button.

Choose a UDP port the game trackers will use to communicate with your server (for instance 21146 in the picture). Dont forget to open the specified UDP port on your router; lets see why.

This is how my Rebellion coop server IP and port show in D3.Descent.cx main page:

ServerGameTOptionsView1

When players want to join this server through D3.descent.cx, they click on the IP:port and the browser goes to the next page:

ServerGameTOptionsView2

On that page, you can see the game trackers communicate with the server on UDP port 20146. Players will be able to join the server using the D3.descent.cx page. But if that port is not open, all they will see is an empty page, like in this example: Frown
