Version 3.1 of the server tool introduces a new function called "selective servers". This is a tickbox at the bottom of the server configuration dialog window.

Tickbox This is a selective server
When a player joins a selective server, the server tool automatically shuts down all other selective servers. When the last player leaves that server, all previously started selective servers start up again.
- The first player who joins a selective server decides which server stays alive. All other servers shut down after about 60 seconds.
- Server hosters can run many servers simultanously without worrying about CPU and network resources. Players can only be in one server at the same time (with exceptions, see below).
With one selective server being played, other selective servers shut down after about 60 seconds. If other players join one of the selective servers which is about to shut down, this server won't shut down either. When this happens, two or even more selective servers are alive, because the server tool does not shut down servers with players in them. The last player leaving a selective server automatically stops this server after around 60 seconds.
