The Dallas script editor provides a function to stop sounds playing from objects ("Stop sound from object").
This doesn't work 100 percent reliably in multi-player, in particular when the object is a sound source. It works for most other objects.
Solution
None. This is either a bug in the Descent 3 engine or the network module.
If possible, script the sound to play and stop from a different object. Don't use a sound source object for this.
