At least one version of D3Edit 1.1 (AV 40) has a serious issue when portal sounds are about to be fixed, hence do not use this function. Ever.
When you click on the "Fix" button, the following dialog window appears:
It is very important that you do not use this function. As soon as you save the level afterwards, you won't be able to open it again! The level file is broken! If you don't have a recent backup, all your work is lost! D3Edit fixes the portal sounds automatically, but although the button should have been disabled, it made it into an official release. Solution: Don't use the "Fix Portal Sounds" button. There is no reason for it anymore. The editor fixes portal sound issues automatically when a level is saved. If you can't hear sound from another room, then this could have other reasons.
