This is our all-time favourite official level for Descent 3. It's the level with the trains. Some players hate the mission, others love it. It takes some time to get through the underground tunnels with all those deadly trains, but it is doable. The level plays on Earth, Seoul, Korea.
Moon explains again how to get through the level, including the dangerous trains. Gamespot have some information on this mission for us, too. Don't forget to click inside the page once, and then press CTRL-A. Otherwise, the black text doesn't come out very nicely on the dark blue background. Descent 3: Retribution - level 4 - PTMC Corporate Headquarter can be played in single-player, co-operative, anarchy, and robo-anarchy. It is not suitable for CTF. KILLSU2 has created an anarchy version out of the city of Seoul from this level that supports anarchy, hyper-anarchy, team-anarchy, and hoard for 6 to 8 players. Spoiler: In co-operative mode, only one of the players has the data cartridge, which is needed later on in the PTMC headquarter to finish the level and fight the pyros. If this player dies, the cartridge is dropped, and someone has to pick it up again. Otherwise the mission can't be completed. This can become quite an annoying search if the player carrying the data is killed somewhere between the trains. Since the data cartridge is quite a small device, it is not so easy to find it again, in particular because the level almost only consists of mazes, like in the city as well as in the sewers. Unlikely in single-player, but very easily possible in co-op, it sometimes happens that one of the PTMC pyros disappears through the double gates of the headquarter's yard. In single, it can't usually happen because the player is inside the yard, and because the pyros are after the player. In co-operative mode, when a player just enters the PTMC garden and is attacked, it is possible that a pyro gets outside. Since everything is open in the rest of the city, the pyro can also escape into the sewers. The mission can't be completed if not all pyros are destroyed, hence if a co-op game doesn't want to finish automatically, try looking for a remaining pyro which could have had escaped through the PTMC garden gates, and maybe it's even hiding in the sewers or somewhere in the city between the headquarter and the sewers. In single as well as in co-op you can try to make the level more interesting by trying to bait a pyro out of the yard and maybe even into the sewers. Orange spot is afterburner, you need it, trains are fast. Red arrows are trains and blue arrows are the player. Green spot is where you respawn if a train kills you on the two last tracks before the station. Pink spot is the station. X are trains and the numbers are seconds between trains. Fist track: Follow the trains. XX 9 X 2 X 6 X 2 XX 9 .... Second track: Face the trains. XX 4 X 12 X 4 X 2 X 15 XX 4 .... Third track: Face the trains. X 1 X 4 X 20 X 7 X 1 X 4 ....
