You may know that it's normally not difficult with Microsoft Windows to turn a screensaver off or back on again. It's probably just a matter of a few mouse clicks. In case you need some help there's plenty of resources on the net, for example this one for Windows Vista: Turn your screen saver on or off.
But what to do if the setting is disabled for some reason?

Beginning with version 3.1.9.0 D3Server3 can set its own process priority class.
The process priority class of D3Server3 can be changed by editing the configuration file D3Server3.ini, wich is located in the same folder as D3Server3.exe. It is recommended not to use Notepad for this task. There are many more advanced text editors freely available. Notepad++ is one good example.

In case you didn't know until now how traffic lights can be repaired here's a video that briefly introduces a new method.
I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I passed by in a taxi.
This man stood on top of the roof of a lorry to repair a traffic light. It is unknown if he succeeded in his attempt but watching the scene alone without knowledge about its end is entertaining enough.

For several versions already D3Server3 supports so-called server events. These events are triggered when the event in question occurs, like when a game server is started or when a player joins or leaves. As a result an application can be invoked (i.e. executed) with parameters. This includes calling any type of scripting language when its interpreter is executed.

Descentforum's server on demand (SOD) for everyone.
It's never been so easy to host a Descent 3 dedicated server. You don't even need your own machine for this anymore.
Do_Checkor's server on demand (SOD) is now available for non-DF members too. DF stands for DescentForum.

In this educational video Thomas and Heinz show you how not to light fireworks.

Watch the actors perform in their best condition and dive into a world of amazing teaching skills. Outragous mental powers and proper preparations led to a film for friends and family, for neighbour's dog and future want-to-be pyromaniacs.
Snow is falling... All around me... Children playing... Having fun... It's the season... Love and understanding... You know. That's what Shakin' Stevens would have had to say about this spectacle.
Get ready for a stunning display!

The latest version of D3Server3 can correct download links in hosted Descent3 servers if they are covered by the Download Link Surgery 2007 or any newer version of it.
This works by extracting the msn file that's embedded in a Descent 3 mission file (.mn3) into the game's main folder. The msn file contains URLs that point to the zip archive with the mission file. When servers are hosted and submitted to the trackers those files can be easily downloaded, for example with Vortex.
Since many of these embedded msn files point to online resources that don't exist anymore D3Server3 can correct outdated links.
