Have you ever played a multiplayer mission where some objects seem to have no AI?
You hit a door and it wont open, it even doesnt make a door sound. Bots are sleepy and invulnerable, you cant destroy the crates or any destroyable object.
It happens when those doors, bots and objects are in rooms out of range from the map limits. When X or Z coordinates are under 0 or over 4096.
Even with a script, you cant activate the doors in those rooms. Neither can you script a switch to move, an object to be destroyed, nor a robot. The event "on collide" doesnt work.
If only a part of the room is out of range, it is not an issue. The problems happen when the whole room is out of the map limits.
Keep that in mind for your multiplayer missions. The gameplay may be messed when players cant open a door or hit a switch. Check the range for X and Z coordinates. Tip from Atan: D3Edit has a feature which shows the valid area in Top(XZ) view. You can turn on/off this with right click on that view or inside general View-Menu and check 'Show valid mp area'.
Note that singleplayer missions are not affected by these out of range rooms.
